Alec
Douglas-Home (1963-4)- Prime Minister - Parliament
Alec Douglas-Home was born
in 1903 and educated at Eton and Oxford before
becoming a Conservative MP and joining the House
of Commons. He progressed under Churchill and
Eden and eventually became leader of the House
of Lords. It was when Macmillan resigned that
Douglas-Home became Prime Minister for a short
term.
