cheese, cream teas and cider and will always give you
a taste of England’s West Country.
Somerset has a beautiful countryside, with a rich history
and 40 miles of coastline. Exmoor, Glastonbury, Wells
are all waiting to be explored and for all the family
fun can be had at the seaside resorts of Minehead or
Burnham-on-Sea. For keen walkers and cyclists the Somerset
Levels and Moors are there to be discovered as well.
For writers, poets and film makes the countryside of
Somerset has inspired them to do some great work.
Somerset hosts many events and this autumn, the spectacular
illuminated evening carnivals will captivate crowds
in many Somerset towns. And for those coming to the
carnivals for the first time often say that they can
hardly believe their eyes! In September, it’s
the Somerset Art Week and over 250 venues exhibit work
from artists and craftspeople all over the county.
