Isles of Scilly - Hotels - Flights - Travel - England
The
Isles of Scilly have a feeling of being peaceful and
are twenty eight miles south west of Land’s End
in the Atlantic water. In this group of island only
5 of them are inhabited all of which have good accommodation
and amenities, local drinking establishments, sporting
activities and sandy beaches. These islands are loved
by birdwatchers and like the nearly crime-free atmosphere.
In spring Scilly is blooming with
the early spring flowers that arrive early due to the
temperate climate. Scilly also has the famous Abbey
Garden that houses the grand collection of subtropical
and exotic plans that come from South Africa and Australia.
So that Scilly is not cut off
from each other and from the mainland there are regular
ferry, aeroplane and helicopter services. The nearest
mainland station is Penzance and is accessible by train
from Paddington, by car from M5 to Exeter then dual
carriageway going through Devon and a large part of
Cornwall. The Isles of Scilly are full of history, wildlife
and natural beauty.
