Driving directions:
The airport
is situated next to junction 8 of the M11 motorway,
less than 20 minutes away from junction 27 of the
M25 motorway. Access to/from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire
is via the A505 and A414; access to/from East Anglia
via the A11, A12 and A120; access to/from the North
and Midlands by the A1 and A14 which joins the M11
at junction 14.
Car parking:
There
are both short and long-term car parks (tel: (0)870
0000 303). Short-term parking is located very close
to the terminal buiding. Long-term, or holiday-stay,
parking is also available; regular coaches transfer
passengers to the terminal (travellers should allow
an extra 30 minutes to access the terminal from
the car parks); discounts are available if for travellers
who pre-book car parking on the airport website.
There is also an AirportsPLUS VIP package and a
priority reserved car parking facility (see the
airport website for further details).
Public
transport and taxis:
The Stansted
Express rail service (tel: (0)845 748 4950) runs
direct to London Liverpool Street station. There
are also coach services to Victoria Coach Station,
Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Stansted Airport
Cars (tel: (0)1279 662 444) operate services to
central London.
Information

The information
desk is located in the international arrivals area,
open 0530-2300 daily.
Airport
facilities:
There are
ATMs located beside the bureau de change, adjacent
to the departures concourse. Other facilities include
an internet exchange, shops, duty-free outlets,
restaurants and bars.
Conference
and business facilities:
The Hilton
National Airport Hotel (tel: (0)1279 680 800), located
within the airport, can provide conference facilities
for up to 300 delegates, as well as meeting rooms
and a business unit. The Millennium Lounge is available
to all passengers for a charge; facilities include
a complimentary café ˇnd licensed bar, complimentary
newspapers, duty-free, TV and music centres, and
a business area with fax, phone, e-mail and internet
access.

There are
wheelchair-accessible toilets throughout the airport,
hearing loops and a TDD telephone on the international
arrivals concourse. Parking spaces for disabled
