Driving directions:
The airport
is located just off the A8 main road between Glasgow
and Edinburgh. The well-signed airport access road
turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge
roundabouts.
Car parking:
The short-term
car park is directly in front of the terminal building;
the long-term car park is close by, served by a
free courtesy coach to the terminal forecourt. Discounts
are available for pre-booked long-term parking (tel:
(0)800 844 844).
Public
transport and taxis:
Taxis (tel: (0)131
344 3344) are available from a rank in front of
the terminal (journey time to Edinburgh city centre:
approximately 20 minutes). Frequent bus services
run from the airport terminal forecourt (zone A)
to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley
Bridge, above Edinburgh Waverley railway station,
also stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket railway station.
These run every 15 minutes during peak periods and
approximately every 30-60 minutes at off-peak times
(tel: (0)131 555 6363). The Airsaver covers a single
fare, plus same-day, unlimited travel on LRT buses
once in the city centre. There are also regular
bus services to Dunfermline and Livingston.

The Airport Information
Desk and the Edinburgh Tourist Board desk are both
located in zone D, in the international arrivals
hall.
Airport
facilities:
The airport has a
bureau de change and ATMs on the first floor of
the departures area, and a further bureau de change
in international arrivals on the ground floor. There
is also a first aid room and a pharmacy at the airport.
Shops include duty-free and there are bars and restaurants
available. The terminal's facilities are undergoing
comprehensive improvement which will be completed
in 2001.
Conference
and business facilities:
British Airways, British
Midland and Servisair all have executive lounges
with telephone, fax and computer log-on facilities;
the Hilton Edinburgh Airport hotel (tel: (0)131
519 4400) has conference facilities for up to 220
delegates. More comprehensive services are planned
once the new terminal is built.

Facilities:
Facilities for disabled
people include accessible toilets, ramps, lifts
and a pick-up point near the information desk in
the arrivals hall; passengers should advise their
airline of their special needs in advance. There
are reserved spaces for drivers with disability
ID in the airport's short-term car park.
