Driving directions:
The airport
can be accessed from north London via the North
Circular Road (A406), from south London via the
Blackwall Tunnel, from east London via the A13 and
from the M11 via the A406 (North Circular). The
airport is 10km (6 miles) from the Bank of England
and 13km (8 miles) from the West End of London,
via the Limehouse link tunnel.
Car parking:
The car
park is situated adjacent to the terminal building;
no pre-booking is required and payment can be made
at automated payment machines inside the terminal
entrance (cash and major credit cards are accepted).
Public
transport and taxis:
Airport
shuttle buses connect with underground stations
and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). The Green
Bus runs between Canning Town and the airport every
5 minutes 0600-2200 Monday-Friday, 0600-1300 Saturday
and 1000-2200 Sunday (journey time: approximately
5 minutes). The Blue Bus runs between the airport
and Liverpool Street via Canary Wharf 0615-2200
Monday-Friday, 0615-1310 Saturday and 1030-2200
Sunday (journey time: approximately 25 minutes).
Bus no. 69 runs to the airport from Walthamstow
and North Woolwich and bus no. 473 runs from Stratford
and North Woolwich. The Docklands Light Railway
runs from Bank, Tower Gateway, Lewisham and Greenwich
to Canary Wharf and an airport shuttle bus connection,
Silverlink metro, runs from Richmond to Canning
Town via Stratford. Taxis also serve the airport
and leave from in front of the terminal building
(journey time into central London: approximately
20/30 minutes).

facilities:
Facilities
include a bank, a bureau de change and ATMs. There
is also a left luggage and lost property service,
as well as a postbox and a shoeshine service. There
are numerous shops at the airport, including a newsagents/bookshop
and a tax and duty free shop. There are also several
places to eat, including a restaurant, bar, trattoria
and coffee shop.

The Meridian
Business Centre (tel: (0)20 7646 0900) is situated
on the first floor; facilities for up to 80 people
in 22 meeting and conference rooms include private
work offices, audiovisual equipment, secretarial
support, fax, photocopying, internet access, catering
and private dining facilities.

The terminal
is fully accessible to disabled passengers; aircraft
boarding assistance is provided for disabled travellers,
who should advise the airline in advance. Airport
shuttle buses have dedicated facilities for disabled
passengers. In addition, there are dedicated car
parking spaces for disabled travellers.
