Driving directions:
The airport
is situated on the A45 Birmingham-Coventry main
route, off junction 6 of the M42. The airport gives
direct access to the M1, M5, M6, and M40 motorways.
Car parking:
There is
short-term, long-term and multi-storey car parking
at the airport. Information about parking is available
from National Car Parks (NCP) (tel: (0)121 767 7861);
NCP also offers a pre-booking service.
Public
transport and taxis:
A free Air Rail Link
shuttle bus links the airport directly to Birmingham
International Train Station and the National Exhibition
Centre; it runs approximately every ten minutes
from outside the Main Terminal (and train station).
Birmingham International Train Station has a network
of fast and frequent regional and intercity rail
services; the service to London Euston is half-hourly
(journey time: approximately 90 minutes). The airport
has an extensive network of local bus services which
all arrive and depart from the set down area in
front of the Main Terminal; for bus timetable and
cost information call the CENTRO HOTLINE (tel: (0)121
200 2700). The airport is also served by a number
of national coach services. Digbeth coach station
(tel: (0)121 772 8177) in Birmingham city centre
is a nationwide hub for National Express Coaches;
the airport is linked to Digbeth every 20-30 minutes
by bus no. 900. Taxis are available from outside
the Millennium Link at the airport.

Millennium Link and British Airways has a customer
service desk (tel: (0)121 767 7502/03/04) at the
Eurohub Terminal . Information for passengers with
special needs is available and a MINICOM system
is installed at the information desk (MINICOM tel:
(0)121 782 0158).
Airport
facilities:
There is an extensive
range of shops, cafés and fast food outlets at the
airport. Shops include a sweet shop, luggage shop,
sock shop, newsagents, grocers, toiletries shop
and electrical goods shop. There are bureaux de
change in the Main and Eurohub Terminals; ATMs are
available on the ground floor of the Main Terminal.
Cash and credit card telephones are available throughout
both terminals and a left luggage facility, which
also offers key holding and baggage delivery services,
is available in the Main Terminal on the first floor,
open 24 hours (1April-31 October) and 0500-2100
(1 November-31 March). Assistance with baggage and
checking-in is available by contacting the airport
information desk prior to arrival.
Conference
and business facilities:
Business booths are
situated in the Main Terminal departures lounge
with credit card operated phone, e-mail, modem and
fax facilities. A Business Centre is available in
the Eurohub Terminal, adjacent to the bureau de
change; facilities include a small meeting room,
fax machine, photocopier, telephone, typewriter
and word processor; secretarial assistance is also
available during the bureau de change business hours.
Disabled
Facilities:
Information for passengers
with special needs is available and a MINICOM system
is installed at the information desk (MINICOM tel:
(0)121 782 0158); there is also an induction loop
system at the airport to amplify announcements for
passengers wearing hearing aids. Staff who can use
sign language are employed at the airport and assistance
with baggage and checking-in is available by contacting
the airport information desk prior to arrival. There
are lifts throughout the airport and wheelchairs
are available on request. There are disabled toilets
throughout the airport, as well as in the multi-storey
car park. Disabled passengers can park for up to
four hours in spaces in the short-term car park;
for periods over four hours, disabled passengers
can park on the ground floor of the multi-storey
car park. The main terminal can then be accessed
via a covered walkway. For further assistance, disabled
passengers should press the 'Assist' button which
is situated at the entrance/exit to the car park.
