When in Staffordshire take the opportunity of exploring
the Peak District which is great for leisure and activity

turning base clay into wonderful objects. The Potteries,
today a collection of visitor centres and museums tell
the story of this industry. For displays of glass blowing
and engraving of lead crystal can be found in the town
of Tutbury.
With a vast history, Litchfield Cathedral tower with its
three spires is found over the Birthplace Museum of Dr
Samuel Johnson. Based in the home of Erasmus Darwin, the
grandfather of Charles is the site for The Erasmus Darwin
Centre. Close by is the Drayton Manor Family Theme Park
and Zoo, the Staffordshire Regiment and three excellent
craft centres.
For fun for all the ages there is Alton Towers in Staffordshire’s
beautiful countryside. And have over 125 rides and attractions.

or even explore the Victorian Gardens found at Biddulph
Grange.
