Sussex
is a county that is filled with medieval cottages, glorious
gardens, old villages, castles and rolling hills. Sussex
is in southern England. And has the probable landing
point for William the Conqueror’s invasion in
1066 and at Lewes where a medieval battle that saw barons
defeat the King, which was the beginnings of the Government.
The River Ouse Valley and The
Ashdown Forest are two favourite places for England’s
writers and artists to get their inspiration from. If
you like Castles, moats and towers then Herstmonceux
is ideal but if you like gardens then you will enjoy
Sheffield Park.
Sussex has the Seaside Award flag
for clean bathing waters at Seaford, Penvensey and Birling
Gap and while you are on the coast take a visit to the
coastal defensive buildings, which includes Martello
Tower and Newhaven Fort. And there are some country
Parks and other pretty area for tourists including walks
and cycle paths through rural areas.
