Surrey
is the most wooded county in England. And has wonderful
countryside, if you stand at the highest point in south
east England and you can see the most delightful view
of the Surrey Hills and the surrounding countryside.
In Surrey you can find many 1000
year old churches where most of the counties heritage
is very well looked after and 32 National Trust sites
and there are lovely gardens for your enjoyment as well.
Surrey has beautiful countryside
that you need to see to believe. Across the southern
part of this county you can find The Surrey Hills which
is an area of outstanding beauty. And scattered along
are market are quaint market towns and pretty villages.
In the Surrey Hills there are lots of wildlife and ancient
woodland, which is untouched.
To see this countryside you can go on bicycle, by boat
along the many rivers.
For a fun packed stay in this
county there are theme parks. But if you are after a
more relaxed day out there is a wildlife park or farm
where the children can see animals and can let off steam
in the play areas.
Surrey also has 100 golf courses,
which includes Wentworth for international competitions.
Frimley Green home to the World Darts Championship and
the country’s best county Cricket Clubs play at
the ground in Guildford. You can also have fun at the
four racecourses at Epsom known for the Derby.
Surrey can offer you a wide range
in attractions. There is also the Hannah Peschar Sculpture
Garden Near Ockley where you can see her work in the
10 acres of landscape. And the many concert halls host
leading orchestras and theatres in which they are used
to host the preview of West End productions before they
go to London.
Surrey’s museums provide
insight into the ex- London Transport buses, Military
displays at Clandon Park and Camberley. And also the
wonderful museums at Leatherhead, Farnham and Dorking.
The county’s other principal towns and cities
include Woking, Croydon and Sutton.
