Armagh is a county in Northern Ireland, Ulster Province,
with Lough Neah on the north and Louth on the south.
Its area is 800 square miles.
The county is wooded and hilly, the highest point being
Slieve Gullion at 1895 feet in the south. Principal
rivers are the Upper Bann, Blackwater, and Newry. The
soil is fertile with large tracts of bogs. The chief
towns are Armagh, the county seat, Lurgan, and Portadown.
Other Principal Cities
are Armagh, Bessbrook,
Craigavon, Milford, Newtownhamilton and Tandragee.
