Hertfordshire

New River is actually an artificial channel that was
built to provide water to North London and is supplied
by springs at Chadwell and Amwell. Hertfordshire’s

the important towns are Hertford, the county town St
Albans, Letchworth, Hitchin and Watford. Others are
