New this year: Saltaire festival 5 – 21 September
celebrating Sir Titus Salt’s 150 birthday and
100 years of Saltaire. 19-21 Sept sees the main event
with market days in the main street Victorian Picnics
and a host of other activities.
Attractions: National Museum of Film Photography and
Television, David Hockney paintings at the Salt Mills
in Saltaire (World Heritage Site), Ilkley Moor
Restaurants: Visitors can choose from a wide selection
of restaurants (including over 200 curry houses) and
cafes. Some excellent examples include:

Architecture: the buildings in Little Germany are a
stunning and reflect the wealth invested into Bradford’s
buildings when Bradford was the Wool capital of the
world. Also of note is the Italianate inspired City
Hall and the Art Deco styled Alhambra Theatre.
Parks: Lister park is home to Cartwright Hall gallery
and is a must visit for it’s contemporary South
East Asian art.
