Guyana's
Shivnerine Chanderpaul is likely to play the
anchor role in the Windies batting while his
more cavalier team-mates play their shots around
him. Good against the quicks Chanderpaul is
not the biggest hitter of the ball but his technique
and powers of concentration ensure he is well
suited to batting for long stretches.
Although
he is unlikely to bowl at the CWC he has been
known to turn his arm over with some success.
He is also one of the better fielders in a side
not traditionally rated for its ability in the
field.
