Muralitharan
is one of the greatest bowlers in the history
of the game. He has taken more than 300 ODI
wickets, at an average of 23.
Along
with Sanath Jayasuriya, he is Sri Lanka's most
influential player. He can take wickets on any
surface and is never hit out of the attack.
When he is playing, the Sri Lankan team look
like world beaters. However, Muralitharan has
suffered a few injuries in recent times. Not
only is that frustrating for the player, but
Sri Lanka have shown little sign of being able
to win without him.
Murali
is undoubtedly one of the stars of the competition,
but his team depend on him greatly for any success
they are to achieve.
