Wasim
is lethal with both the new and old leather,
swinging the ball prodigiously from a fast-arm
action. The angle he creates from the bowling
crease troubles both left-handers and right-handers.
These
days Wasim is somewhat of a liability in the
field but his destructive batting in the lower
order still presents an obstacle for any team
looking to blast through the tail. The tall
bowler made his first appearance in ODIs way
back in 1984/1985.
Match-fixing
allegations have haunted him for years and prevented
him from regaining the captaincy upon his return
to the side. To this day, however, he maintains
his innocence. |
