Although
Waqar is undoubtedly in the twilight of his
career, he is still producing the goods for
his country with the new ball. Also an expert
exponent of reverse-swing, Waqar returns at
the death of the innings in just as lethal a
style.
The
skipper of a side that is notoriously unpredictable,
Waqar has a difficult task ahead of him when
it comes to motivating a team bursting with
talented individuals.
With
the bat Waqar is determined and particularly
strong hitting down the ground. He made his
ODI debut in the Champions Trophy in 1989/1990
and has been a permanent fixture in the side
