A
dashing batsman at the top of the order, skipper
Ganguly has often been found wanting in the
longer form of the game when up against fast
short-pitched bowling. The one-day game, however,
is where he is most at home, flaying anything
slightly wide to the point fence with relative
ease.
Ganguly
has proved a competent captain as well as a
more than useful medium-pacer in the limited-overs
game. He made his ODI debut as a teenager in
the World Series in 1991/1992. |
