The owner of this residence is the US Government and
is found in Regent’s Park in London with the estimated
value of £88 million.
Winfield House is the official
residence of the American ambassador in the UK, William
Farish, friend of George W Bush and of close acquaintance
to the Queen. After the Second World War the estate
was handed over to the American government by Woolworth
heiress Barbara Hutton, it even still holds an annual
Fourth of July party.
The house has 18th century oak panelling, 200 year old
Chinese wallpaper and marble bathrooms. The garden is
only second in size in London only the Buckingham Palace
has the dominant part of the 12 acres of ground.
