Is owned by the Duke of Devonshire and is located in
Derbyshire. The property has an approximate value of
£105 million.
Chatsworth has twice been voted the Britain’s
outstanding treasure and it not hard to see why.
The building work for Chatsworth started in 1552, but
in 1686 onwards was built in the classical style. The
Duchess of Devonshire at one time liked her home to
be more of a town than a house, which has 175 rooms.
And which attracts almost 800,000 visitors each year.
The house is found in 35,00 acres of parkland and has
a bridge, fountains, chapel and maze. Chatsworth is
the home of the 11th Duke of Devonshire, at 83 has an
approximate personal wealth of over £1billion,
