Despite a freak injury to his ankle Ian Wynne from Great Britain manage to get through to take a bronze medal in the K1 500m kayak final.

The athlete from Kent, Southern England fell of a bus and sprained his ankle, however he managed to compete with heavy strapping.

Adam van Koeverden from Canada was the gold medal winner, while Australian Nathan Baggaley was second.
