The Earl and Countess of Wessex
The Earl of Wessex
was born on 10th March 1964 and was christened Edward
Antony Richard Louis at Buckingham Palace. He is the
third son and youngest the child of The Queen and The
Duke of Edinburgh.
Until his marriage he was known as Prince Edward, when
he was created The Earl of Wessex and Viscount Severn.
Also at the same time His Royal Highness announced that
he will eventually succeed to the title of The Duke
of Edinburgh.
The Queen appointed Prince Edward
a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in June
2003.
