French Ham Fondue (Casserole)
Ingredients
3 c French bread; cubed (include
crust)
3 c cubed baked ham
3 c sharp Cheddar; cubed or
grated
1/4 c melted butter
4 eggs beaten and mixed with
3 - cups
3 tb white flour combined
with 1 teaspoon
Instructions
Butter 9 inch by 13 inch baking
dish with 1/4 of total butter
in recipe. Layer 1/3 of bread
in bottom of pan, followed
by 1/3 of cheese and 1/3 of
ham. Sprinkle 1/3 of flour-mustard
mixture on that layer; then
drizzle
another 1/4 of recipe's total
butter. Repeat for two more
layers. Pour milk-egg mixture
over all. Refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350 F for 1 hour or
until puffy and golden.
Let stand 5-10 minutes.
