Galloway feels he has achieved some of his objectives from ' big brother"
In conformist politician George Galloway has defended his decision to participate in the "big brother “the celebrity television reality show" after being evicted by a public vote.
Galloway was voted out of the camera-filled house Wednesday night after the 21 days he spent there. He was not the first to be evicted.
He said that he had participated in the show to raise the profile of his policy. "I represent a diverse class of policy," he said in emerging from the house. "I do not believe that speaking with the parliamentarians, the present harvest of parliamentarians, is very important. "our task is to take politics to the people. That is what I do for a life, and that is what I will continue doing. However Galloway was criticized by some of his colleagues to enter the house and by some of his constituents Ali Mohamed, 50, salesman in the electoral district of Galloway's Bethnal said "he shouldn’t have gone there -- he should have been in the parliament to take care of the area," he said to Reuters Thursday. "he is an M.P."
During his time in the Big Brother house, there were numerous scenes that many felt were not what you would expect an M.P. to be doing but there are those such as Jackie Evans of Birmingham who can’t see what all the fuss is about she stated “Well it was all in good humour and at the end of the day George is doing a job just like Preston, or Dennis and it was good to see that after all George is just another man like any other and not what the press always make him out to be”.
Others also sympathised with their M.P. and respected his decision to go into the show. "we love George Galloway and of course we will support him whatever he does" said bobby, 52. "he participated in Celebrity Big Brother so he can speak with each one, not only with people in the parliament.
"Well it is what I am doing normally, travelling the country and speaking to 500 people," George said. "I thought that it was a good idea to speak to five million people every night. George Galloway was expelled by the Labour Party in 2003 for his open criticisms of the war on Iraq, he then became the leader and led, the leftist party Respect in the 2005 elections, where he won his East London seat.
