Swansea is officially the second city of Wales, but really should be the first. I'm not putting down Cardiff, but Swansea is not only a very pretty place with greenery and nice houses, but it's also chockers with cool pubs and clubs, for the residents and the students and other visitors to the city.

The local Firkin is probably the most popular pub to go to, it's awash with fit men and women, and the groovy yet cheesy club, Icon, is probably the best place to pull in Wales. Especially on the Carwash nights, where some people dress up in seventies gear and generally make prats of themselves whilst having an excellent time. There are loads of other clubs too, with great student nights and relatively cheap alcohol to stock up on.

Although it rains most of the time, the beach is definitely the place to be when the sun is out. There's good surfing to be had, and an excellent array of joggers with posing pouches. What more do you want?
