Reading
This is not a verb, it's
a vibrant a top top party city. Of course, you've
got the famous Reading Festival every summer holiday
where greats like Oasis, Blur, and (oh my god)
Steps come to regale the crowd of loafers. But
you've also got some of the coolest (and cheesiest)
clubs in the land - nothing compares to the fun
you can have at RG1 - but Purple Turtle is picking
up a bit of kudos as well.
For the ladies there is
the huge, brand spanking Oracle shopping centre,
and I guess it's for the men as well - let's not
be sexist. It's also really close to London, so
just hop on a train (if they're running on time)
and get down to Oxford St or Tottenham Court Road
to pick up some groovy gear.
Put aside the fact that
Reading is the best party town in Britain, a reputation
enhanced by my awesome dancing, but there are
lots more civilised things to do as well, like
going to Henley regatta, hanging out in Marlow,
home of the great Steve Redgrave; or watching
the horse racing at Ascot or Newbury.
