Liverpool
Everyone knows Liverpool;
it's the place that "all scousers have got
great senses of humour", where The Beatles
and, more importantly, Cilla Black, came from
and where the world's greatest football team was
born. Being a local anyway ot wasn't much of a
hard choice to go for Liverpool to study in. We're
getting stacks of cash into the city now and the
Victorian Albert Dock has become pretty "au
continentale" with shops and cafes and our
favourite daily window on the world - This Morning
with Richard and Judy. Not a lot of point in talking
about particular pubs and clubs - everyone's heard
of Cream but it's much more interesting to explore
for yourself; needless to say there are a horrendous
number of pubs all over the town interspersed
with a multitude of eateries from Indian through
to Chippies and China Town is supposed to have
been the first in Europe. For food most of us
go to Lark Lane which is right next to the Halls
of Residence.
