Bangor

Bangor has to be one of the nicest cities there is in the UK (I say it like I've been to loads!). As I'm sure you're all aware, Bangor is in North Wales. Which is one good thing about it! (Ignore Anne Robinson and all her cocky comments about Welsh people!) I think its location is one of its strong points - its set in a region of "outstanding natural beauty" (that's what the brochures say!). You have the mountains on one side of you, lakes and forests of the Snowdonia National Park on the other side. Then you have the coast! What more could you ask for?!

I don't know about the Uni there - seen as I've not been to Uni (yet!) but im sure its great and its one on my list of possible Uni's!

You have a diverse range of shops, pubs, restaurants, etc. yet it isn't as packed or polluted as the larger cities. Also, you could think of it being a safer place to live/study.

Bangor is also close to the A55 - which will take you directly to another popular area along the North Wales coast, Llandudno. Here there are even more shops, clubs, pubs, restaurants, along with ten-pin bowling and a dry ski slope. One other new attraction to the North Wales coast line is the new Cineworld complex that has just opened its doors in Llandudno Junction. The first 9 screen cinema complex to open its doors around here!
