| Coventry
Coventry has all
the usual suspects when it comes to city eating. Eden
Restaurant is part of the movement which sees the integration
of eating and entertainment. The upstairs is a well
respected bistro serving continental cuisine whereas
the downstairs houses Bar Eden, a stylish bar which
caters to all in a chilled out atmosphere with DJ’s
resident at the weekend. Tete A Tete is for those looking
for something more traditional, as it has the excellent
service and quality in a setting reminiscent of a Victorian
tearoom. Playwrights is popular with the student population,
offering discounts and an excellent set price menu.
Not easy to categorise, Playwrights fulfils the role
of bistro, café and bar. Kakooti Restaurant delivers
an almost wholly organic menu with fair trade products,
and all in the shape of superb vegetarian and seafood
dishes with a Mediterranean flavour. It also prides
itself on its award winning organic wine selection.

Nowhere is a good curry so widely
respected as in the Midlands and Turmeric Gold doesn’t
disappoint a particularly discerning audience. In a
poll taken by the Coventry Evening Telegraph, Turmeric
Gold was voted Best Indian Restaurant by the public.
Not many restaurants can boast a menu with over 100
different dishes, let alone deliver them at the quality
Turmeric Gold does. The pictures on the website are
enough to set appetites racing. Don’t miss out
on a chance to visit this award winning curry paradise.
