before moving to Los Angeles. Her father was a
mink rancher until the 1960 when business went
down due to the popularity of fake purs. Shannon's

with her mother and other brothers and sisters,
but she continued to maintain a good relationship
with her father until he died in the early 1980's.
Shannon has Three (3) brothers and Three (3) sisters.
Shannon is the third oldest of the bunch. She
left home when she was 15.
Shannon started her film career after becoming
a Playboy Playmate of the month and then later
Playmate of the Year. After she achieved her Playmate
status and with other modelling that she was doing
she started doing a magazine show for Playboy
called Playboy on the Scene, that similar to an
Entertainment Tonight format that dealt with contemporary

at Lorimar Productions asked her to audition for
Falcon Crest. With that audition Shannon did 21
episodes of Falcon Crest during 1981/82. From
that she then spent Two (2) years on the soap
opera Days of our Lives in 1985/86 and then an
HBO series called 1st and Ten with O.J. Simpson.
She also had a show of her own on CBS in 1991
