Tyra Banks

Tyra Banks was born on December 4th in Los Angeles. She was signed by Elite agency when she was 17 and travelled to Paris to work for such names as Ralph Lauren and Chanel. On her return to America she became a big named model and even began making cameo roles in films and television programmes, including ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’.

She went on to rise through the modelling ranks and became the first African-American woman ever to be featured on the covers of GQ magazine, the Victoria's Secret catalogue, and the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Tyra has since starred in the hit film ‘Coyote Ugly’ and looks like she has a promising future.
