Shania Twain

Shania was born August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She had a troubled childhood in which her father walked out on her family, she had to live in poverty and then her mother and step-father were killed in a car crash. In 1993 she married Robert John “Mutt” Lange who believed in the ability of her voice and set about catapulting her onto the world stage. Her album ‘The Woman in Me’ was a huge hit and sold over 11 million copies – firmly placing her and country music on the map. She hasn’t looked back since.
