Orlando Bloom was born on January 13, 1977, in Canterbury, England. At 16 he moved to London to pursue a career in acting and drama and went on to star in a number of stage productions and television drama’s (including Casualty).

It was in 1999 that Bloom received a phone call that would change his life, he was set to star in ‘Lord of The Rings’ as Legolas Greenleaf. All parts of the trilogy were shot back to back and propelled Bloom onto the international stage. After a few low budget films he starred in ‘Ned Kelly’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’. He is also going to feature in the epic film ‘Troy’ – soon to be released.
