Matthew Paige Damon was born October 8, 1970, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Along with his childhood friend Ben Affleck he had various small roles but decided to study English Literature at the prestigious Harvard University.

He soon left Harvard to pursue an acting career and was fully launched with ‘The Rainmaker’ and followed it up with ‘Good Will Hunting’. He’s gone on to star in a number of hit films and also had a long relationship with Winona Ryder. For a while he was Hollywood’s golden boy, appearing in every film and ad campaign around (he did 8 films back to back). In recent months the hype surrounding him has died down.
