Kylie Minogue was born on May 28 1968 in Melbourne, Australia. Her big break came when she played Charlene in the Australian soap ‘Neighbours’. Alongside her budding acting career came the launch of her pop career, beginning with a cover version of the popular song – ‘The Locomotion’.

After her ‘Neighbours’ career drew to an end, Kylie was launched as a pop singer and had instant success with a number of catchy tunes, including duets with Jason Donovan. Along with Madonna she’s probably the only other female that has the incredible knack of being able to reinvent herself time and time again – this has meant she still has number ones till this day.
