Born September 28, 1973, in Los Angeles, California. She trained as an actress at a very young age and by 11 she was in theatre productions. Her first audition landed her debut into film in 1991's "Shout" with John Travolta. She went on to star in a number of films before being cast opposite Brad Pitt in the 1995 blockbuster ‘Seven’.

After this the pair began a highly publicised romance, but eventually gave it up to pursue their careers. Her greatest hour came when she starred as Voila in ‘Shakespeare’s in Love’ and won an Oscar for best actress.
