David Robert Joseph Beckham was born
on May 2 1975 in Leytonstone, London. From a very
young age Beckham was playing football and was
spotted by Manchester United scouts when he won
the ‘TSB Bobby Charlton Soccer Skills’
finals. After helping United win the youth FA
Cup he eventually debuted for the first team in
1992. However it wasn’t until 1996 that
Beckham truly ‘arrived’ when he scored
on the opening day against Wimbledon from inside
his own half. He’s never been out of the
media with his high profiled marriage to Victoria
(posh spice) and the birth of their two sons –
Brooklyn and Romeo. Beckham was nearly driven
out of English football after being red-carded
in the 1998 World Cup Finals, but has gone on
to become the England Captain. Last year he made
a 25 million pound move to Spanish giants, Real
Madrid. |
