Christina Aguilera
Christina
Maria Aguilera was born on December 18 1980
in Staten Island New York. She started her career
as a musician very young and brushed shoulders
with the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake,
J.C. and Keri Russell in The Mickey Mouse Club.
She later travelled overseas to places like
Japan and Russia and performed with international
artists. On her return she worked on the soundtrack
of ‘Mulan’ which won her widespread
acclaim. She hit international fame with her
first single ‘Genie in a bottle’
which was number 1 for five consecutive weeks.
And with the success of her second number 1
‘What a girl wants’ – Christina
was firmly planted on the music map.
She won various awards and Grammy’s throughout
her coveted career, and collaborated with the
likes of Enrique Iglesias, Rudy Perez and Ricky
Martin. Christina went on to record with a number
of other divas including Mya, Pink and lil’
Kim for their number one smash hit ‘Lady
Marmalade’ for the soundtrack of ‘Moulin
Rouge’. Since then she’s gone from
strength to strength (whilst her wardrobe has
gone from strange to stranger).
