Beyonce Knowles

Beyonce was born on September 4th 1981 in Houston, Texas. At the age of 10 she formed the group ‘Destiny’s Child’ with her cousin Kelly Rowland. They hit the music scene in 1997 with their single ‘No No No’ and their next album ‘The Writing’s on the Wall’ catapulted them onto a world stage with huge hits like ‘jumpin jumpin’, ‘bills, bills, bills’ and ‘say my name’.

They went on to sell millions of albums worldwide and have paramount success. Since then the group have been having a break – this gave Beyonce a real chance to shine. She did a number of cameo roles and starred in various commercials. In 2003 she released her debut solo album ‘Dangerously in Love’ and this instantly became a multi-platinum seller. Huge number ones included ‘Crazy in love’ and ‘Baby boy’. She continues to take the world by storm.
