Keri Russell was born in Fountain Valley, California
on March 23rd, 1976, then raised in Dallas, Texas.
She got her name after her grandfather Kermit.
Later, the family moved to Mesa, Arizona. There
Keri attended a local school called Kino Junior
High School. In Mesa, Keri discovered her first
love - dance, beginning intense study in ballet,
jazz, lyrical and street dancing. She was a member
of the Mesa Stars Dance and Drill Team and won
several scholarships which allowed her to study
after school in prestigious programs, often even
six or seven hours a day.
In the Stars, Keri travelled nation wide performing
at half time shows at NBA and NFL games. She also
travelled to Brisbane (located 700km north of
Sydney), Australia and performed in the World
Fair "Expo '88." Dance still remains
as a passion for her, and she continues to study
it even today.
