Birmingham
Birmingham is Britain’s second largest city and home to Europe’s largest retail-led project, the Bullring. It has a vibrant nightlife and at the hub of it is Broad Street where most of the city’s activities and events are focused. Birmingham’s most popular bars are situated here.
Numerous famous bars and clubs are located all the way along the street – catering for all kinds of musical tastes, styles include dance anthems, party, funk house, R n B and even Bhangra. The vast list of bars include the Revolution Vodka Bar, O’Neills and the classy Living Room. Not forgetting the countless other bars, clubs, pubs, restaurants and hotels that stretch from the main Broad Street to the canal and the Brindley Place on the other side. There is no shortage of quality hotels including the Jury's Inn, Travelodge, Holiday Inn, The Hyatt, Radisson and numerous others.
Birmingham city centre is also inundated with pubs and bars in particular. Bennetts is a relaxing chill out place with comfortable armchairs and sofa’s, as a converted bank its major highlights include the décor and size. Other bars in the city centre include Red and RSVP. The fact that there are so many places to go to means that prices by large are kept to a reasonable standard (with obviously some variations) as competition is rife.
The Birmingham nightlife is complete with its selection of gay/lesbian bars and clubs. These by large have a relaxed atmosphere and are frequented by a variety of people of differing sexual preferences. DV8 and Kudos Bar are two such bars. On the other end of the city Moseley and Selly Oak also have plenty of bars and pubs showing quite effectively that Birmingham is not all just about Broad Street. Even Aston University has its own set of pubs in close proximity. The other noteworthy area is the China Quarter area of Birmingham, which hosts numerous cafes and bars and is located adjacent to the Hotel Ibis.
