Bath
Bath is situated
near Bristol on the south coast and is a town that focuses
more on traditional pubs and bars. As it’s near
the coast the emphasis is on other activities and events,
as opposed to major nights out clubbing. Most of the
nightlife is concentrated in the city centre and even
though the majority of clubbers head to Bristol, the
town does have a few of its own clubs. Babylon is arguably
Bath’s biggest nightclub and plays a mixture of
funk, house and trance music.
Cadillacs is another club that is cheap and cheerful,
catering predominantly for the student populace. Other
clubs include the popular Po Na Na and Moles Club which
has a mixture of live music, bands and DJ’s. These
are not in close proximity and it does take time to
travel from one to the other if you want to embark on
a club crawl (not to mention that there’s not
enough clubs to ‘crawl’ to).
If you are after something different Pulp is an interesting
choice for a lounge bar that is located in the basement
area of a Latin American restaurant. The Sports Bar
is also different with its rugby theme and is a good
choice for avid rugby fans or after sport drinks. The
Garrick’s Head and The King William are traditional
inns that serve hot meals and a selection of ales.
