bars and clubs in Banbury
Banbury located in Oxfordshire
is a town with a number of entertainment venues, bars
and clubs. There are a variety of music styles for people
of all tastes – everything from dance, brit pop,
soul, jazz and even disco. The town is well equipped
with a range of places for the complete night out. There
are modern lounge bars for the young and trendy working
people, cheap and cheerful bars and clubs for the hard
up student contingent, and even old-style inns and pubs
for the more mature of us out there.
There are a number of different nightclubs here that
help create a buzzing atmosphere. Leading the way is
Hobsons Choice which is a nightclub with a sizable bar.
It targets both the gay and straight communities with
its vibrant atmosphere. The music style largely runs
along the lines of chart, dance, drum ‘n’
bass, hard house, metal, rock and trance. Banbury is
also equipped with the ever-popular Chicago Rock and
Yates’s.
The Sound Exchange is arguably the town’s only
nightclub, it has two floors with the top floor being
used by those with a mature taste in music. It has two
discos and four bars catering for a large number of
people. An alternative is Green D’or & Picasso,
which is a small and intimate club for those looking
for somewhere relatively relaxed and comfortable.
