This conference paper provides healthcare workers e.g. nurses, health care assistants etc with an awareness of the needs of deaf people within the healthcare sectors.   The main purpose of this paper is focussed on deaf people to help healthcare workers to understand them as a group.  The paper will be based on clinical environment of the healthcare sectors as a radiography department, wards and generally within hospital itself.  This paper will examine the specific needs of deaf people within the healthcare sector.
